Corpore Sano Expands to Eastside Location

James and Kari

We are pleased to announce our new location on King County’s Eastside.

We are partnering with Eastside Ski and Sport on Microsoft’s “The Commons” to perform our bicycle fitting services. Eastside is gracious to have us!

Services will begin next week. Appointments may be scheduled by calling the Kenmore office 425-482-2453.

Corpore Sano Welcomes Pro Mtn/CX Racer Kari Studley PT

Corpore Sano Physical Therapy welcomes Kari Studley PT to their office. Kari is a professional Mtn/Cyclocross bike racer in addition to her professional training as a Physical Therapist. Kari is being brought on to help with Corpore Sano’s expansion of services to the Eastside of King County (more later). Kari has been doing her homework and has been training under Erik’s tutelage in the field of bike fit and bicycle injury intervention. Kari is a welcome addition to the Corpore Sano professional staff!

Calfee Sizer Cycle Has Arrived!

I am excited to announce the arrival of our Calfee Sizer Cycle! We have patiently awaited it’s arrival and are pleased that it is now in our office. Our Calfee Sizer Cycle will allow us to help you best design and understand the geometry of your new/proposed bicycle prior to a purchase of your new, best bicycle. This type of service is especially important for those in need of a custom bicycle or those who need to best understand the implications of projected frame size differences and their individual musculoskeletal differences. We will be finalizing the parts acquisition to make our Sizer Cycle functional in the next two weeks.

Busy Weekends

Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010
The completion of Chilly Hilly heralds my “busy season”. These current three weeks have been no exception.

First there was Bike Swap. People were in the buying mood this year and we were able to effectively clean out our garage. We then went up to Vancouver to be with the “people” in the streets during the USA vs Canada hockey showdown. Large-loud-crowd 101 for our children. :)

Last Friday I was honored to give a presentation at Pacific Lutheran University’s Symposium on Sport and Recreation (www.PLU.edu). The next two days I hosted the Bronze-level course for my BikePT cirriculum. BikePT is a continuing education program that teaches Physical Therapists how to work effectively with the injured or painful bicyclist. www.BikePT.com

This coming weekend is the Greater Seattle Bicycle Expo as hosted by Cascade Bicycle Club. Cascade has moved the Expo this year to the Magnolia area. Please be advised. We will be there again this year! Please plan to stop by and say “Hi”. I will be doing a Bike Fit lecture on Sunday afternoon.
