Performance Bicycle Positioning PDF Print E-mail

A well-fit bike should be based upon the blending of racing goals and an individual’s musculoskeletal capabilities.  A well-fit bike will help ensure injury-free riding, good economy and performance.  This process will include assessment of musculoskeletal status (flexibility, strength, coordination and asymmetries).

Bicycle Retrofit
Bicycle retrofit is the consideration of musculoskeletal dynamics, sport-specific skills, and discipline in the positioning of the athlete on their bicycle. You are treated as an individual. The retrofit of your bicycle will accommodate and remedy bicycle-related pain syndromes. No formula-fits are used.

Custom Bicycle Sizing
Physical therapists are experts in musculoskeletal issues. Who better to trust in helping you pick the proper bicycle size for your bicycling goals?

Performance Bicycle Positioning
Erik Moen is an expert in bicycling biomechanics and aerodynamics. The process of performance positioning is not as easy as trying to emulate your favorite bicycling hero. Higher level functioning on the bicycle is a process progressed over time.
