Do you have heel and foot pain from running? Susie Roley PT, DPT has some tips so you can prevent Plantar Fasciitis?
• Proper running shoes: Running gait analysis before you start training
• Strengthen arch and foot: Such as arch curls, heel and toe walking.
• Stretch your calf (gastroc/soleus complex): 30 seconds x 4 reps 2-3 times a day
• Stretch your plantar fascia: Tennis or hard rubber ball massage (3-5 minutes a day)
• Ice massage with water bottle (5 – 7 minutes after run)
• Variety is KEY!: Surface, pace, distance, cross- train, rest days
• KEY: Listen to your body!!!! Do not run through pain

Welcome to Snow-ma-gedon 2012! Here is the snow update for Corpore Sano.
As of 6am, there is crunchy snow/ice on the side streets. Kenmore is sanding streets.
Best way in to Corpore Sano this week will be 522 to 68th/Juanita and then west on 175th. That is the flattest way in to the office and reasonable as of 5:30am. Just use caution/best judgement.
We are still open for business!

Congratulations to Kari Studley who was nominated and then earned Washington State’s High School Mountain Bike League “Coach of the Year” in its inaugural season. This is a great honor for Kari as she spent a considerable amount of time and coaching expertise with these athletes. Kari will receive her award at the NICA annual conference in January.
We had the opportunity to attend the Tacoma Twilight Criterium. The racing was fast and furious, the weather was great and the event/race organization was awesome! Thank you to Dean and Tacoma Sports Festival crew!
I had a client yesterday who rode their bike from their home in Tacoma to their office visit in Kenmore and then rode back home to Tacoma……whoa! Amazing!
