Boston Bound!
I am attending the American Physical Therapy Association’s (www.APTA.org) House of Delegates meeting next week. This is an annual meeting of PT’s from around the country to work out policy/procedures/bylaws that run and operate the association in addition to the election of national board members. The first House of Delegates I attended was in 1991,….Boston. Visiting Boston for an APTA meeting is a cool thing for me.

Memorial Day
I hope your Memorial Day is filled with rest, relaxation and hard play! Do take the time to remember the reason for Memorial Day. I have copied a poem by my neighbor and Korean War veteran to observe the Holiday.
Carry our flag with pride
Stars and Strips rest on
Shoulders of patriot
And common man alike.
Carved from inspirations
Guided by spirit
With free thought and blood.
United States
Valley Forge
A testament to our
Foundation of freedom!

Bike to Work – Seattle
Corpore Sano hosted a commuter station for Cascade Bicycle Club’s hosted Bike to Work Day here in Seattle. I was out there at 5:10am to set up the booth by 6am. My first “guest” was Mick Walsh who promised to be by at 5:20am. Mick was my motivation to keep to the schedule in light of the time of day. We set up 2 tents, 1 Corpore Sano and 1 FOCUS Bicycles. We even had a FOCUS Izalco bicycle on display! We served coffee and baked goodies that were donated by Great Harvest in Lake Forest Park. Thank you to Jeff at Great Harvest – Lake Forest Park! Great stuff as always. We had ~350 bicyclists roll by our station from 6am – 9am today. Fewer commuters than last year most likely due to the cold and damp conditions.
All in all a great day for commuting by bicycle! Thanks to Cascade for their support of bicycle advocacy in the community.

NW Soccer Camp is Coming to Kenmore/Bastyr
I went to this soccer camp as a kid! It was great! Uncle Nubby (aka Cliff McCrath) is relocating his famed soccer camp (www.nwsoccer.org) to Bastyr University, here in Kenmore, and I can’t be more excited!
We were up at Bastyr for a baseball game (Go Kenmore LL Mariners!) where we ran into Cliff unloading soccer goal posts/nets.
Welcome Cliff and NW Soccer Camp!

The Triple Whammy Revisited
The Tuesday ride was spectacular! Today was the day we resurrected the Triple Whammy. The triple whammy was named by Nick Shafer back in the day. Juanita, Holmes Point-Juanita, Simonds Road then back in past the Wayne Golf Course. Nice little hill-climb-palooza all under an hour. A nice diversion with my Tuesday riding buddy Denny (congrats to Mariah, his daughter who graduates from U-Texas next week!).
The Tuesday noon rides are open to anyone! Please join us!
I will be joining the REI lunch-time ride next Tuesday in Kent!
The next Tuesday ride leaving Kenmore will be 5/25. See you out there!
